
Salad:
- 1 ¼ cups water
- 1 (6 ounce) package dry falafel mix (often near Jewish food)
- 2 cups vegetable oil
- 1/8 tsp cayenne
- tsp chili powder
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp parsley
Falafel:
- Make falafels based on package instructions. In the bowl you mix the falafel mix and water in, add other spices. form them into 1.5 inch balls or patties.
- Heat the oil in a large sautee pan on medium high. Cook falafels on both sides until light brown. Let dry on a rack with towels underneath the rack. Pair with salad, hummus, barbeque chicken or anything else you’d like. Enjoy!
