Top 5 Things To Do When You Run Out of Energy

1. Play! Actually I am quite serious. As an entrepreneur I have a lot of ideas. I can also work enough to the point where I hit a brick wall and I find that my mind goes in the circles. At that point I’ve lost the enthusiasm and the energy to move forward. I find that if I take just 30 minutes or more a day and schedule that time to actually play that it can help me recover significantly. Then I have more energy than when I started the day.  I think we lost play when we were nudged by society or family to start to act like an adult, but I think it is something that shouldn’t be lost.  I think it is many of my clients’ missing key to happiness! There are psychological articles that back this up as well.  Playing actually helps wake up your system and gives you the energy and enthusiasm you need to keep going. It can also help with any thoughts in your head that may be slowing you down such as “life is work”, “life is not fun”, “I work all the time”, etc.

2. Affirmations.” I am enthusiastic about life and filled with energy and enthusiasm.” Say 3x out loud. Try other affirmations as well as doing a good chakra alignment and healing for yourself with the intention of increasing your energy and enthusiasm.

3. Visualize red and orange. The colors of the root and sacral chakras. By visualizing these colors often times you can get an energy boost and it may signal your spiritual healers to heal those areas for you as well. A good grounding can help clear any brain fog you may have when you use all of the four elements at the same time with the intention of grounding. Increased mental clarity can help you move forward in your day and feel better overall.

4. Exercise. Get the blood pumping. I found that a number of things that help circulation also help my mood. Also if you get some sun that’s going to help with vitamin D production which is also a mood booster.

5. Supplements. Make sure any supplements you take do not have adverse effects to any prescriptions by consulting your doctor first. I take a number of supplements to help me with energy and mood. Some of the ones that help with mood are 5-HTP, GABA, Acteyl L Carntine, L-Tyrosine, vitamin D, Maca root, Kava, omega 3 fatty acids and other brain boosting combinations. Some that are great for energy like B vitamins and Hawthorn Extract.  Try one at a time and go from there. Ask your local vitamin store what is best for you or do some research online based on what you’ve noticed about yourself.

Other tips:

  • Update your Feng Shui.  If you want to learn how, go to my more detailed blog here.  Sometimes when the energy isn’t quite right in our home we will know it energetically through the feeling of energetic blocks.  There can be multiple reasons why you feel fatigued, confused or blocked but if everything else is alright this is another option.
  • Do some empathic cleanup if you think you are clairsentient.  Follow the link for my article on this.
  • Clean the energy of your home using sage and sweetgrass.  My article on how to do this is here.
  • Use YouTube Videos around the home or near yourself to cleanse negative energy from the home and replace with positive energy.  My YouTube Channel with a number of options is here.

Feng Shui, Basics

Feng shui can get pretty complicated, so this blog is to focus on the basics, for beginners. If you’d like to dig deeper I recommend any of the many books found in your local library or Amazon.

Basically, Feng shui is more than how to just rearrange your furniture, its about bringing good energy and luck to you, and protect you from the inauspicious. Experts say there are energy lines that are auspicious (good luck) and some that bring shar chi (bad luck). I got into it intuitively when I started wondering if there was a more passive way to bring me positive energy and good luck in my life.

Wealth

Wealth is probably the most asked about but as I write this I’ll remind you to find balance by reviewing and paying attention to all areas and sides of your home to bring peace and overall happiness. Place in the southeast area of your home any or all of the following:

  • Affirmations list such as “I enjoy what I already have and own”, “I am rich”, “I am financially abundant.”
  • Water fountain or a representation of water (picture, cup of water, color blue). If you use water refresh it every 2-3 days.
  • Wood in the form of a live plant; but no dead wood or drift wood, no dead or wilting plants
  • Abundance Crystal grid – youtube videos online on how to construct these
  • Green and prosperous plant (not cactus or spiky plant)
  • Avoid putting : metals, fire

Fame

For success and positive energy in Fame, or as I put it a positive reputation, put the following in the South area of your home:

  • Positive affirmations about your fame such as “People like me”, “People speak well of me”, “I have a positive reputation”
  • Fire (lit candles) or pictures of fire
  • An image or statue of the Phoenix, particularly auspicious if you are a rooster year (as the author is)
  • Avoid putting in the South corner: water

Career

For success and positive energy in career put the following in the North area of your home:

  • Positive affirmations about your career such as “My career is successful”, “I am good at what I do”, “I appreciate my career”
  • Yellow candle for intelligence if intelligence is used in your profession
  • A bell for success
  • A turtle to represent the celestial turtle
  • Water or representions of water

School and learning

If you are in school or have children that are, or you are continually improving on your own education, put on the NorthEast corner of your home:

  • Yellow candle for intelligence
  • Quartz
  • Positive affirmations such as “I learn easily”, “I am intelligent”, “Others know I am intelligent”, “I do excellent in school or better”

Love

When I did this, no joke, someone asked me out on a date within 24 hours. To bring more love, relationships or marriage into your life put into the southwest corner of your home or room:

  • The color red
  • Fire (I have a red candle)
  • A list of positive qualities you bring to your relationship
  • Positive affirmations about your relationships such as “I have a successful loving relationship”, “I am attractive”, “I have a long term, compatible relationship now”
  • The double happiness symbol
  • The red Chinese knot
  • A list of qualities you are looking for in a partner (be realistic)

Mentors

Good mentors can launch your career or improve other areas of your life such as romance or fame. To bring good or better mentors into your life but in the northwest corner of your home the following:

  • Quartz crystals
  • A list of what you look for in a mentor
  • Metal
  • Positive affirmations about your mentor(s)

Health

For better health for yourself and your family put in the East side of your home:

  • Affirmations for areas you want to improve such as “I enjoy exercising”, “I can fit exercise into my schedule”, “I eat healthfully”
  • Pictures of healthy food
  • Pictures of healthy people with healthy bodies that inspire you
  • Wood, bamboo, no dead wood
  • Pictures of you healthy and happy

Children & Family

To improve areas in your life concerning children or family put in the West side of your home:

  • Something Metal
  • Wind chime
  • No wood
  • Pictures of children if you want children
  • Positive affirmations concerning your children or family

Celestial animals

There is a whole philosophy on how your home should be situated in a Valley between mountains and that the Green Dragon Mountain to the north should be higher than the White Tiger Mountain to the south. Mostly bringing in these celestial animals is an additional way to bring in positive Chi, protection, and clairity into your home and life. If you would like to bring the celestial animals into your home the green dragon should be on the east side, the white tiger should be on the West Side, the turtle should be on the North side and the Phoenix should be on the south side. Some say you should picture in your mind a yellow snake and the center of your home as well. I have pictures of these beings in my home but you can also purchase ceramic figurines and pictures online as well.

For the most part these Celestial animals can provide protection as well as stable positive Chi for the home.

There are other aspects of Feng shui that involve the position of your furniture and goods in your home as well as what to do about Corners that are inauspicious. Much of it has to do with balance so be aware of having too much of one color or having too much light in one room and not enough light in another. There are many good books out there if you want to learn more about feng shui, go with your intuition when choosing one best for you.
