Natural Ways to Reduce Stomach Acid

If you’ve ever dealt with acid reflux or that uncomfortable burning sensation in your chest, you know how disruptive excess stomach acid can be. While medications can help, many people are turning to natural remedies to soothe their digestive systems more gently. The good news: some simple, everyday foods and drinks can make a noticeable difference.

One of the easiest additions to your diet is melon. Varieties like cantaloupe, honeydew, and watermelon are naturally low in acid and high in water content, which helps dilute stomach acid. They’re also rich in vitamins and easy to digest, making them a great snack when your stomach feels sensitive. Eating melon on its own (rather than mixed with heavier foods) tends to work best for reducing irritation.
