Colorado Blue Spruce – Alchemy

Colorado Blue Spruce

Picea pungens Engelm.

Specimen sighted: Santa Fe, NM

Metaphysical attributes:*

Bark: Communication. Powder the bark enough for a tablespoon or the palm of the hand. Put the powder in the palm of your hand. Say one prayer. Imagine what you want to say to the person or being you are trying to communicate with. Guides recommend concentrating (eyes closed to help stay focused from distraction helps). Blow on powder into the air when finished with imagining the message to be sent.

Leaves: Do nothing with the leaves. Not recommended rituals or manifesting.

Fruit/Nut: Cut or break in half, tap both halves on a rock, some of the cone will crumble onto the rock. Look up to Mother Sky, close your eyes and ask for what you want. Then, tilt your head down, feel contentment, peaceful and thankful. Put the cone down on the rock and end with a prayer. Amen.

Guides specifically say “Mother Sky” here. Native Americans speak of Father Sky, celtic spirituality speaks of a Father Sky but Egyptian spirituality has a Goddess Sky. They are referencing something specific here and I asked multiple times if it was Mother and indeed I saw “Mother” Sky. When I asked the guides about this they told me with a shrug that it is “just Mother”. Like that is what it is to them, when I ask if there are multiple beings up there, I receive a yes, and I asked if there is a Mother and a Father I receive a yes. They also note that the Father Sky that I read about is connected to the different cultures’ stories and myths.

Flower: N/A, no flowers

Elementals & Nature Spirits associated: Many. Fairies are some, I see some peaking through the needles and branches, but fairies do not live there, gnomes and rock spirits visit frequently and take care of the tree, I see them patting the ground area around the trunk and even the rocks around the trunk. The rocks help this tree quite a bit. The rocks vibrate, and I see little tunes come up from the rocks, this helps soothe the tree, I see the tree sighing in relief. Rocks help with grounding. Mushrooms are the tree’s spiritual and physical friends as they help with the disintegration of the detritus around it, give it spiritual warmth and company. Some sprites stop by and set up camp at the base of the tree.

Candle manifesting: Yes the mushrooms can be used for any desire in candle manifesting. Do not use the needles. Using the mushrooms growing around and on the tree is very good for abundance, money, productivity, healing, and other manifesting. Guides don’t recommend using the cones for candle manifesting rituals.

Note: Guides also said it would be best not to hurt the tree by plucking things from it (if a cone falls on its own this is ok), rather they recommend when you see one greet it; I see to put two hands on the trunk, greet it, say hello, and then go about your merry little way. While typing this this felt “right” to me and guides say it would be best.

Field Bindweed – Alchemy

Flower: Photo Source: Andrea Knight

Field Bindweed

Convolvulus arvensis L.

Specimen sighted: Santa Fe, NM

Metaphysical attributes:*

Bark: N/A

Leaves: Not recommended for rituals or manifesting.

Fruit/Nut: N/A

Flower: *Not recommended to use* They show me rubbing the flower between the palms of your hands, then with the thumb and index finger rolling and rubbing it until a drop of moisture comes out. Touch the dew or moisture to your mid tongue, after holding it there in reverence for a couple seconds, spit out the moisture, pray with your face pointing up to the sky and your eyes closed. You may ask for things such as promiscuity (having multiple partners), romance, sexiness, and to cast out bad spells, negative energy. *Not recommended to use*

Elementals & Nature Spirits associated: Fairies, some sprites, some gnomes but few. Bees were the first thing to pop up, I asked if the bees themselves were spirits or if it was spirits associated with the bees and I received that it was “both”.

Candle manifesting: Yes, for promiscuity (multiple partners) and sexiness. I see the color red here as the smoke goes up. Say one prayer, ask for what you want with the flower on the candle, light the candle, a touch of cinnamon sprinkled on after you light it, like 3-10 grains, not much so you don’t put out the flame. End with a prayer.

Healing abilities:*

  • Poultice: Not recommended
  • Powder: Can be used for candle manifesting instead of fresh flower, do not ingest.
  • Tincture: Not recommended
  • Tea: Not recommended
  • Salve: Not recommended

I should note here that I randomly pick a flower, bush or tree every week, without knowing the outcome. Some of these metaphysical attributes may not be for everyone, nothing is suggested that you should do or apply here.

Callery Pear – Alchemy

Callery Pear (Bradford Pear)

Pyrus calleryana Decne.

Specimen sighted: Fairview, TX

Metaphysical attributes:*

Bark: None, not recommended

Leaves: *Yes, pomace (pounding leaves in mortar with pestle), lick the pomace (without really having anything to ingest*), pray to God and ask for your desires. Put pomace down. Then end with amen. Wash tongue and don’t swallow anything.*

Fruit/Nut: Grind up into powder and pray over. I saw a lit candle in the background during this ritual (don’t put powder in the candle), pray over it, ask for what you want. I saw the ritualist kneeling and then get up from the prayer. *Never ingest, poisonous

Flower. Source: Wikipedia Commons

Flower: Crushed, not into a powder, it is still fresh like it was just picked, maybe 2 crushes with a mortar and pestle before it juices too much. Put crushed flower in the palm of your hand, smell, put down, pray over the crushed flower, any desire.

Elementals & Nature Spirits associated: Many, fairies come in and out, earth elementals, tree elementals (like an Ent but they say not an Ent), gnomes, playful small beings dancing around it in a circle, celebrating, hugging it, giving it love. When asked what type of entity these were guides indicated they were one not discovered yet.

Candle manifesting: Yes, the soft still fresh (not dried) flower leaves, I see them pinching and rolling with their thumb and index finger over the candle until something drops from the petal, I see what looks like juice or dew dropping but they admitted if it is a piece of the flower that is ok, then pray or manifest with the candle as you would usually to harness the power of the Callery pear.

Healing abilities:*

  • Poultice: *Same manifesting properties as above, can be used for any desire not specific to one (universal). The seed of the Callery pear is poisonous and cannot be ingested. There is no data on the flower, so best not to ingest unless you have another reputable source that says otherwise.
  • Powder: *Same manifesting properties as above, can be used for any desire not specific to one (universal). The seed of the Callery pear is poisonous and cannot be ingested. There is no data on the flower, so best not to ingest unless you have another reputable source that says otherwise.

California Peppertree – Alchemy

California Peppertree

Schinus molle L.

Specimen sighted: San Diego, CA

Metaphysical attributes:*

Bark: None

Leaves: Can be crushed up (not powdered) and used in your manifesting and magical rituals. Guides showed me it helps with happiness, euphoria, sleepiness, dream state, and fortune to others (you can ask for fortune for others, when I asked if you can ask for fortune specifically for yourself they said no)

Fruit/Nut: The fruit seeds are peppercorns, spirit shwed me you could put in wax for your candles and use the candles for manifesting. Not recommended for ingesting. Not the strongest manifestor however so it wasn’t recommended for metaphysical uses.

Flower: Happiness, sleep, help getting into deep sleep, some abundance (not main use, they show me 20% effectiveness for abundance).

Elementals & Nature Spirits associated: Fairies, not often, they pass by, check up on the flowers I see, they give energy to the flowers and different areas of the tree, gnomes, earth spirits

Candle manifesting: Spirit didn’t recommend to use in candle fire for manifesting

Healing abilities:*

  • Poultice: Same healing properties as salve
  • Powder: Don’t recommend
  • Tincture: Don’t recommend
  • Tea: Not safe, however to suspend the flower in water for manifesting abundance, add a little sea salt to the water and a burning tealight in a floating jar, pray over the combination, state your intention, light the candle, pray again to close.
  • Salve : *(see disclaimer) Salve may heal spiritual wounds by putting on skin and breathing it in, I saw them rub on the arm, and then I see inhailing like eucalptus to open nasal passages (salve is recommended to be made from all parts; little bit of bark, leaves, and bit of branch)

African Lily – Alchemy

African Lily

Agapanthus Praecox Willd.

Specimen sighted: San Diego, CA

Metaphysical attributes:*

Bark: N/A

Leaves: There are a few.

1) In the old days some would use the leave paired with rabbit in an elaborate ceremony for love, romance and fertility. Spirit showed me this ceremony, however due to the nature of political correctness today, I didn’t find it appropriate to publish or likely anyone would go through with it. The ceremony was to help in areas of Love, Romance and fertility.

2) There is another ceremony that was shown to me by spirit, and while safe by those that can follow directions properly, I was a little concerned that in the wrong hands could result in sickness or injury. African lily is poisonous and while this ceremony, if done correctly, should not injure anyone, I wouldn’t want someone to hurt themselves. This ceremony was to help manifest any desire on your mind you wish help with or to manifest.

Fruit/Nut: N/A

Flower: (powdered) Yes many uses, manifesting your desires, see below

Elementals & Nature Spirits associated: Sexual Nymphs, wish bringers (unknown spirit name, they called them “wish bringers”), some fairies, some trolls, some gnomes, elves

Candle manifesting: Leaves & flower can be used for candle manifesting (powdered form was recommended), for anything BUT Love, guides say to use with candles for Love would be not be good. Fertility however is ok as well as abundance, jobs, luck and other.

Healing abilities:*

  • Poultice: Not recommended due to the plant being poisonous
  • Powder: Powder can be applied to candles (not for Love), to water, or to the ground for manifesting rituals, do not breathe in or ingest*
  • Tincture: Not recommended due to the plant being poisonous
  • Tea: Not recommended due to the plant being poisonous
  • Salve: Not recommended due to the plant being poisonous
