What do women want?

In General

The correct question would be instead “what does this particular woman want?” To find out I would advise the person to listen and observe her to find out the answer for that particular woman they are interested in, as not all are the same.

The Misconception around Women and Money

However I really wanted to address the pink elephant in the room. The most common questions I receive from women after over 11,000 sessions in 11 years about their love interest are:

-Is he interested or attracted to me?
-When is he going to tell me his feelings?
-When is he going to commit?

When I speak to men however they say something along the lines of “women only want my money.” “They are gold diggers.” Based on the statistics and what women really ask me about, this is clearly not true.

So why the disconnect?

As a guy put it to me the other day: it is the narrative that men can handle. Essentially someone rejected the guy who says women are all gold diggers. His feelings and ego were bruised, but instead of internally asking what could he improve about himself, he tried to put her down and say in essence that she is shallow. The realty is most likely he wasn’t her type, he ignored her, he didn’t communicate well enough, he was acting creepy, or something else turned her off. But he can’t face that, hence the incorrect narrative.

Additionally, the most common break up reason I receive from women other than fighting is:
-he didn’t communicate well
-he didn’t tell me how he felt

See a pattern? I do too.

Conclusion

So it seems that what women ask for in the majority of readings doesn’t match what men say women really want. It’s like he isn’t listening at all to what she is saying and just saying all women are shallow to save his pride.

Instead of building anger within and calling women all gold diggers let’s try a new narrative that is probably more true: we aren’t going to attract everyone we meet, but when we throw him back out to sea we can find someone else who will be attracted to us.

As I like to put it, we aren’t everyone’s favorite flavor, and that’s ok. On to the next!
