Mint – Alchemy

Mint

Mentha X suavis

Specimen sighted: San Diego, CA (house plant)

Metaphysical attributes:*

Bark: N/A

Leaves: Mint is recommended for areas that include abundance, health, spiritual energy, enthusiasm, and clearing energy (less foggyness and mental clarity). The leaves can be crushed or can be used whole. Candle manifesting is good as well as other rituals (I see a spread here with twigs and other manifesting tools on a rock).

One method involved taking a single mint leaf, washing it off, visualizing your desires with it in your hand, putting a single drop of water on it, then with the mint leaf above your head you tip the leaf so the water drops down into your mouth. End with please and thank you, amen.

The second ritual involved taking several leaves (washed and dried so can be lit), state your intention in your mind or out loud, with a visualization if possible, and roll them up. With them in your hand, light them, take them to your mouth. Blow through the tube and allow the rolled leaves to smoke. Do not inhale. Blow at least 3 times but more is OK, just not less than 3. Once it starts to burn put it down on a ceramic or fire safe dish to smoke. Recommended to do outside in a fire safe place. Allow the smoke and ash to blow away with the wind. Say please and thank you, amen as it smokes and blows away.

Guides indicate there are many ways to incorporate the leaves into rituals, you are not restricted to these few. Go with your intuition and clairvoyance.

Candle manifesting will be reviewed below.

Fruit/Nut/Cone: N/A

Flower: The flower of the mint plant can be used for manifesting and rituals. One method was to roll it on a surface to loosen the flower parts and then bring it to your mouth and blow for the flower to release the flower parts into the air. Different from many rituals on here, you would wait until after you’ve blown on the flower and its parts are airborne before visualizing. After you are done with visualizing end with please and thank you.

Another method with the flower is to add a mint flower, just one, to a wine barrel with wine in it to bless the wine. Before you drop it in hold it in your hand, visualize and state your desire for anyone who drinks the wine, and end with please and thank you. Drop the flower in and cork your wine barrel. I think very few of us will be able to take advantage of this one unless you own a vineyard, but very interesting to see indeed. Apparently not the same if done with a bottle, I was specifically shown a barrel.

Elementals & Nature Spirits associated: air spirits (sylphs), romantic nymphs, elves, sprites, mushroom spirits 🍄, some gnomes

Candle manifesting: Both the leaves and the flowers can be used in your candle manifesting. The areas discussed in the leaves topic are recommended areas.

  • Powder: Not recommended
  • Tincture: Yes, has some healing properties spiritually*
  • Tea: Can be used in teas but guides say no metaphysical effects, I concur, I haven’t noticed any either

Canary Island Pine – Alchemy

Canary Island Pine

Pinus carariensis C. Sim.

Specimen sighted: San Diego, CA

Metaphysical attributes:*

Bark: It is not recommended to take bark from the tree and use for ritual purposes.

Leaves: Needles can be used in candle manifesting. Guides show me to break the needles in half, sprinkle over the flame or put in the wax of a candle. They show me someone praying over the candle with the needles asking for what they wish. Some areas of interest that the needles may give your ritual a boost in are abundance, love, money, food, harvest, and other areas as well. Not really used too much for health.

Can be used in a dish during other rituals, but in this case I see them intact. They tell me not as effective with this method.

You do not need to wait for the needles to drop to the ground to use them.

Fruit/Nut/Cone: Cone can be used for rituals, I see someone holding the cone with both hands, raising above their head and then crashing it on the rocks by using a swinging down motion and releasing it before it hits the rock. Pray and ask for what you desire. You may do this with cones that have already fallen to the ground, letting the tree keep its cone until it is ready to release them. Not recommended to pluck the cones from the tree.

Flower: Not recommended, instead guides say let the tree finish its reproduction cycle.

Elementals & Nature Spirits associated: Grounding elementals, elves, dwarves, butterflies (as a spirit animal/insect), caterpillar (denotes change and strength), some mushroom spirits.

Candle manifesting: Yes see leaves/needles above. The scales of the cone can be used as well for similar reason as the needles. They show me someone breaking off small parts of the cone and dropping them into the side of the lit candle or putting them in the wax. Never the bark. The bark is sacred.

Healing abilities:*

  • Poultice: Not recommended (they noted the tree and its elements are not used for health)
  • Powder: Not recommended
  • Tincture: Not recommended (they noted the tree and its elements are not used for health)
  • Tea: Not recommended (they noted the tree and its elements are not used for health)
  • Salve: Not recommended (they noted the tree and its elements are not used for health)

California Sycamore – Alchemy

California Sycamore

Platanus racemosa Nutt.

Specimen sighted: San Diego, CA

Metaphysical attributes:*

Bark: Crushed by rubbing between your two hands. Look up to Father sky and ask for what you desire or want to manifest. Blow the bark from your palms into the air. Say Amen or Thank you. Can be used for abundance in crops and food, health and healing, particularly guides show me someone inhaling and bringing a lot of air into their throat, to heal the throat chakra and the throat, blessings to others.

Leaves: Same method, they may not crush as easily if fresh, but roll between your hands, say your intention, looking up to Father sky and blow the leaf (or leaves) out of your hand. Can be used as a poultice for healing. *

Fruit/Nut: Not used for anything, guides give me the idea that the spines on the seed would be inauspicious so not recommended.

Flower: Not recommended as I see if used in candle rituals the magic will defuse or snuff out.

Elementals & Nature Spirits associated: Healing elementals, some water elementals (undines and some mermaids) mostly, some mushroom spirits, fairies, some gnomes, elephant spirit guides and healers, I see here these elephant guides may help with the removal of obstacles or to keep things moving

Candle manifesting: Using the flower was not recommended as I saw the energy snuff out, using pieces of bark for manifesting has an effect but admittedly a weak one, don’t use the leaves

Healing abilities:*

  • Poultice: The leaves were suggested here to be used in a poultice for healing. When I googled I saw that it may be good for cold, cough, dysentery and as a pain killer.*
  • Powder: Not recommended
  • Tincture: Not recommended
  • Tea: Not recommended
  • Salve: Same as the poultice except they show me bark can be used as well in the salve.*

African Fern Pine – Alchemy

African Fern Pine

Afrocarpus gracilior Pilg.

Specimen sighted: San Diego, CA

Metaphysical attributes:*

Bark: Not recommended for use

Leaves: Not recommended for use

Fruit/Nut: Speak your intentions into the seed, crush the seed in the palm of your hand, watch and visualize the magic or energy in the seed, blow on the seed until it flies out of the palm of your hand. Bring your hands together in prayer, you know it is done. Any desire is indicated here such as love, relationships, healing, career, finances, etc.

Flower: Not recommended for use

Elementals & Nature Spirits associated: Many. Fairies, gnomes, water elementals, air elementals (sylphs). I saw a spider pop up here as well which may represent many things.

Candle manifesting: Seed crushed up, sprinkles over candle when it is lit. Use whatever candle ritual as you usually would, the seed being additional energetic power.

Note: Guides also said it would be best not to hurt the tree by plucking things from it. If a seed falls, ask the tree if it is ok to take its bounty, if granted then you may take for energetic purposes.

Additional Note: This is one of my favorite trees to help me ground. When I scanned around the different trees in San Diego, this one was one of the best for grounding, just by looking at it, without needing to touch the trunk.

Black Poui – Alchemy

Black Poui

Jacaranda mimnosifolia D.Don

Specimen sighted: San Diego, CA

Metaphysical attributes:*

Bark: Powder the bark first, pray over it once, put in your palm, visualize or say your desire, feel it in your heart, blow on it to spread in the air, ask God or the elders of the tree to help you with your desire/wish, say please and thank you.

A second ritual was shown, guides showed me a person raising their hands high in the air at night time during a Full moon, cupping water in their hands with a small piece of bark and a flower from the tree, bending down and releasing it into a stream to drift down the stream (has to be a moving and natural stream during a full moon). This ritual can be used for manifesting and giving thanks to anyone (crossed over, spirits, guides, nature, God, etc).

Leaves: Can be used, but not recommended as spirit says it can lead to mixed results.

Fruit/Nut: The pod shown in the picture sis not recommended for use, while it does have some positive alchemical, metaphysical properties guides again indicate it may lead to mixed results if not used by someone that knows what they are doing with rituals, alchemy.

Flower: Crush up a flower until it is slightly crushed but mostly whole, touch the flower to your tongue lightly, *not to ingest or swallow anything*, look up, close your eyes and ask for what you want, such as love, relationships, and health. End with Please and Thank you, Amen.

Elementals & Nature Spirits associated: Gnomes, sprites like the blooms a lot, some fairies, wood nymphs. Gnomes mostly.

Candle manifesting: They don’t recommend any, although I saw bark from the trunk flash up they didn’t recommend it.

Healing abilities:*

  • Poultice: *Can be made with the leaves, put on the skin in a poultice bag or thin cloth, they indicate physical healing here however per usual consult with a physician before using any natural ingredients for physical healing purposes. Poultice can be used for manifesting and other metaphysical purposes as well.
  • Powder: Powder of the bark was mentioned above. Do not ingest.
  • Tincture: Not recommended
  • Tea: Not recommended
  • Salve: Not recommended

*Disclaimer: The contents of this blog is for metaphysical, educational and entertainment purposes only. Before using or ingesting ANY herb or plant for health reasons please consult a physician for advice.

Colorado Blue Spruce – Alchemy

Colorado Blue Spruce

Picea pungens Engelm.

Specimen sighted: Santa Fe, NM

Metaphysical attributes:*

Bark: Communication. Powder the bark enough for a tablespoon or the palm of the hand. Put the powder in the palm of your hand. Say one prayer. Imagine what you want to say to the person or being you are trying to communicate with. Guides recommend concentrating (eyes closed to help stay focused from distraction helps). Blow on powder into the air when finished with imagining the message to be sent.

Leaves: Do nothing with the leaves. Not recommended rituals or manifesting.

Fruit/Nut: Cut or break in half, tap both halves on a rock, some of the cone will crumble onto the rock. Look up to Mother Sky, close your eyes and ask for what you want. Then, tilt your head down, feel contentment, peaceful and thankful. Put the cone down on the rock and end with a prayer. Amen.

Guides specifically say “Mother Sky” here. Native Americans speak of Father Sky, celtic spirituality speaks of a Father Sky but Egyptian spirituality has a Goddess Sky. They are referencing something specific here and I asked multiple times if it was Mother and indeed I saw “Mother” Sky. When I asked the guides about this they told me with a shrug that it is “just Mother”. Like that is what it is to them, when I ask if there are multiple beings up there, I receive a yes, and I asked if there is a Mother and a Father I receive a yes. They also note that the Father Sky that I read about is connected to the different cultures’ stories and myths.

Flower: N/A, no flowers

Elementals & Nature Spirits associated: Many. Fairies are some, I see some peaking through the needles and branches, but fairies do not live there, gnomes and rock spirits visit frequently and take care of the tree, I see them patting the ground area around the trunk and even the rocks around the trunk. The rocks help this tree quite a bit. The rocks vibrate, and I see little tunes come up from the rocks, this helps soothe the tree, I see the tree sighing in relief. Rocks help with grounding. Mushrooms are the tree’s spiritual and physical friends as they help with the disintegration of the detritus around it, give it spiritual warmth and company. Some sprites stop by and set up camp at the base of the tree.

Candle manifesting: Yes the mushrooms can be used for any desire in candle manifesting. Do not use the needles. Using the mushrooms growing around and on the tree is very good for abundance, money, productivity, healing, and other manifesting. Guides don’t recommend using the cones for candle manifesting rituals.

Note: Guides also said it would be best not to hurt the tree by plucking things from it (if a cone falls on its own this is ok), rather they recommend when you see one greet it; I see to put two hands on the trunk, greet it, say hello, and then go about your merry little way. While typing this this felt “right” to me and guides say it would be best.

Field Bindweed – Alchemy

Flower: Photo Source: Andrea Knight

Field Bindweed

Convolvulus arvensis L.

Specimen sighted: Santa Fe, NM

Metaphysical attributes:*

Bark: N/A

Leaves: Not recommended for rituals or manifesting.

Fruit/Nut: N/A

Flower: *Not recommended to use* They show me rubbing the flower between the palms of your hands, then with the thumb and index finger rolling and rubbing it until a drop of moisture comes out. Touch the dew or moisture to your mid tongue, after holding it there in reverence for a couple seconds, spit out the moisture, pray with your face pointing up to the sky and your eyes closed. You may ask for things such as promiscuity (having multiple partners), romance, sexiness, and to cast out bad spells, negative energy. *Not recommended to use*

Elementals & Nature Spirits associated: Fairies, some sprites, some gnomes but few. Bees were the first thing to pop up, I asked if the bees themselves were spirits or if it was spirits associated with the bees and I received that it was “both”.

Candle manifesting: Yes, for promiscuity (multiple partners) and sexiness. I see the color red here as the smoke goes up. Say one prayer, ask for what you want with the flower on the candle, light the candle, a touch of cinnamon sprinkled on after you light it, like 3-10 grains, not much so you don’t put out the flame. End with a prayer.

Healing abilities:*

  • Poultice: Not recommended
  • Powder: Can be used for candle manifesting instead of fresh flower, do not ingest.
  • Tincture: Not recommended
  • Tea: Not recommended
  • Salve: Not recommended

I should note here that I randomly pick a flower, bush or tree every week, without knowing the outcome. Some of these metaphysical attributes may not be for everyone, nothing is suggested that you should do or apply here.

Callery Pear – Alchemy

Callery Pear (Bradford Pear)

Pyrus calleryana Decne.

Specimen sighted: Fairview, TX

Metaphysical attributes:*

Bark: None, not recommended

Leaves: *Yes, pomace (pounding leaves in mortar with pestle), lick the pomace (without really having anything to ingest*), pray to God and ask for your desires. Put pomace down. Then end with amen. Wash tongue and don’t swallow anything.*

Fruit/Nut: Grind up into powder and pray over. I saw a lit candle in the background during this ritual (don’t put powder in the candle), pray over it, ask for what you want. I saw the ritualist kneeling and then get up from the prayer. *Never ingest, poisonous

Flower. Source: Wikipedia Commons

Flower: Crushed, not into a powder, it is still fresh like it was just picked, maybe 2 crushes with a mortar and pestle before it juices too much. Put crushed flower in the palm of your hand, smell, put down, pray over the crushed flower, any desire.

Elementals & Nature Spirits associated: Many, fairies come in and out, earth elementals, tree elementals (like an Ent but they say not an Ent), gnomes, playful small beings dancing around it in a circle, celebrating, hugging it, giving it love. When asked what type of entity these were guides indicated they were one not discovered yet.

Candle manifesting: Yes, the soft still fresh (not dried) flower leaves, I see them pinching and rolling with their thumb and index finger over the candle until something drops from the petal, I see what looks like juice or dew dropping but they admitted if it is a piece of the flower that is ok, then pray or manifest with the candle as you would usually to harness the power of the Callery pear.

Healing abilities:*

  • Poultice: *Same manifesting properties as above, can be used for any desire not specific to one (universal). The seed of the Callery pear is poisonous and cannot be ingested. There is no data on the flower, so best not to ingest unless you have another reputable source that says otherwise.
  • Powder: *Same manifesting properties as above, can be used for any desire not specific to one (universal). The seed of the Callery pear is poisonous and cannot be ingested. There is no data on the flower, so best not to ingest unless you have another reputable source that says otherwise.

California Peppertree – Alchemy

California Peppertree

Schinus molle L.

Specimen sighted: San Diego, CA

Metaphysical attributes:*

Bark: None

Leaves: Can be crushed up (not powdered) and used in your manifesting and magical rituals. Guides showed me it helps with happiness, euphoria, sleepiness, dream state, and fortune to others (you can ask for fortune for others, when I asked if you can ask for fortune specifically for yourself they said no)

Fruit/Nut: The fruit seeds are peppercorns, spirit shwed me you could put in wax for your candles and use the candles for manifesting. Not recommended for ingesting. Not the strongest manifestor however so it wasn’t recommended for metaphysical uses.

Flower: Happiness, sleep, help getting into deep sleep, some abundance (not main use, they show me 20% effectiveness for abundance).

Elementals & Nature Spirits associated: Fairies, not often, they pass by, check up on the flowers I see, they give energy to the flowers and different areas of the tree, gnomes, earth spirits

Candle manifesting: Spirit didn’t recommend to use in candle fire for manifesting

Healing abilities:*

  • Poultice: Same healing properties as salve
  • Powder: Don’t recommend
  • Tincture: Don’t recommend
  • Tea: Not safe, however to suspend the flower in water for manifesting abundance, add a little sea salt to the water and a burning tealight in a floating jar, pray over the combination, state your intention, light the candle, pray again to close.
  • Salve : *(see disclaimer) Salve may heal spiritual wounds by putting on skin and breathing it in, I saw them rub on the arm, and then I see inhailing like eucalptus to open nasal passages (salve is recommended to be made from all parts; little bit of bark, leaves, and bit of branch)

African Lily – Alchemy

African Lily

Agapanthus Praecox Willd.

Specimen sighted: San Diego, CA

Metaphysical attributes:*

Bark: N/A

Leaves: There are a few.

1) In the old days some would use the leave paired with rabbit in an elaborate ceremony for love, romance and fertility. Spirit showed me this ceremony, however due to the nature of political correctness today, I didn’t find it appropriate to publish or likely anyone would go through with it. The ceremony was to help in areas of Love, Romance and fertility.

2) There is another ceremony that was shown to me by spirit, and while safe by those that can follow directions properly, I was a little concerned that in the wrong hands could result in sickness or injury. African lily is poisonous and while this ceremony, if done correctly, should not injure anyone, I wouldn’t want someone to hurt themselves. This ceremony was to help manifest any desire on your mind you wish help with or to manifest.

Fruit/Nut: N/A

Flower: (powdered) Yes many uses, manifesting your desires, see below

Elementals & Nature Spirits associated: Sexual Nymphs, wish bringers (unknown spirit name, they called them “wish bringers”), some fairies, some trolls, some gnomes, elves

Candle manifesting: Leaves & flower can be used for candle manifesting (powdered form was recommended), for anything BUT Love, guides say to use with candles for Love would be not be good. Fertility however is ok as well as abundance, jobs, luck and other.

Healing abilities:*

  • Poultice: Not recommended due to the plant being poisonous
  • Powder: Powder can be applied to candles (not for Love), to water, or to the ground for manifesting rituals, do not breathe in or ingest*
  • Tincture: Not recommended due to the plant being poisonous
  • Tea: Not recommended due to the plant being poisonous
  • Salve: Not recommended due to the plant being poisonous

*Disclaimer: The contents of this blog is for metaphysical, educational and entertainment purposes only. Before using or ingesting ANY herb or plant for health reasons please consult a physician for advice.
